I can't say how disappointed I am but the Salvation Army cancelled the August 1 show. I do not know yet whether they will allow the September show.
I am not angry with them. I get it. We are in the middle of a deadly pandemic and I had been wondering if running the August show would have been reckless and irresponsible. The lawyer in me is thinking of liability issues. But the card dealer/collector in me is so ready for a show!! It has been four months since I last set up at a show!!
I was planning to give out face masks at the show and have disinfectant stations throughout the room... which I think I will do if I can ever run the show again. I am wondering if I should just throw in the towel for 2020 and shoot for 2021 when, hopefully, we will have a Covid vaccine.
The flea market in Kenosha is open. I might just set up there. I'll let you know. Did I say I am disappointed?
