I actually haven't felt too bad at the last several card shows. My Clarion show on October 7, 2017, was a success. Dealer tables were sold out and we had a steady flow of customers all day long. Once again, I gave away two free packs of cards. A few guys pulled some jerseys and autos. Please make sure you see me at each show to pick up your free packs of cards.
Also, prior to the show, I purchased about 100 Halloween cupcakes. We went through 70 or so of them at the show. I brought the rest of the cupcakes home and now am thoroughly disgusted with cupcakes. If I ever see another cupcake again, it will be too soon. I also bought some Halloween napkins for patrons to use with their cupcakes. Some guy actually swiped all of my Halloween napkins. So for the November show, I will just purchase plain napkins in the hope that nobody swipes them and all customers have a napkin to use.
So, if you remember my last blog about the Clarion show, I stated I wanted to renew the show at the Clarion for 2018. I emailed my request to renew like I had the previous three years and received a response stating the Clarion was going to slightly increase my rental fee and that they could not give me all the dates I wanted. As a result, I have not renewed with the Clarion and am searching for a new home for the show. I will keep you posted.
My next Clarion show is coming up quickly on Saturday, November 4, 2017. This is the Thanksgiving show and I will be serving free turkey sandwiches and once again giving away two free packs of cards. Hope to see you November 4th!
