Again, I was late and had to hustle to open up shop in the morning. Nice crowd today, unlike yesterday. I had steady sales all day long. I know I chatted with a ton of people but my old-man memory has failed me. I do remember having a pleasant day. I purchased some T206's from my main T206 guy.
Sales were much improved over the March show and last year's November show. I am much happier with this show than I was after the March 2023 show and plan to set up at the next one in March 2024. I also really like our spot by the concession stand and hope to keep it for March.
After the show, PJ and I went over to the Rivers Casino with the intent of dining at the buffet. I walked around the casino several times before I realized that the buffet is no more. I am so bummed. The buffet was sooo good. How could they get rid of it?
PJ and I decided to eat at a new burger place which turned out to be amazingly good. So we still had an excellent dinner. After dinner, I staked out a video poker machine and played for an hour or so and ended up winning a big 20 bucks! PJ ended up winning 22 cents on the slots. He was elated, stating this was the first time he won anything at a casino.
We were tired and turned in early. It had been a long two days. Sorry for the brevity of the blog. I need to write them up right after the show or I just forget what happened. I hope to catch up soon. Still feeling like crap but I am going to attend Janesville tomorrow, December 9, 2023. I'm bringing display cases. Let me know if you want to see any binders.
